Today's travel to gymnastics snack, planned at 7am and served at 4pm, was 2 slices of ham rolled up into a cylinder and a bun. Just so. In separate containers - just the way it MUST always be.
But today?
Today he said, and I quote, "Mama, break the bun into half moons and put the ham in there and then squish it together. Please mama."
And my response, "HALLELUJAH!"
And he did in fact actually eat that sandwich. Simply a miracle out of left field.
Because until today nothing was allowed to touch the bread. NOTHING. Not honey or peanut butter or jam or cheese or butter or ham. Food must not ever touch or gagging and upchucking may occur. we have a whole lot of those divided plates in the kitchen shelf.
And today? Today the world shifted and maybe, just maybe, it will be a teeny tiny bit easier to feed the wee dude tomorrow.
--------------
In other exciting big boy news dude showered with a smile on his face. Rinsed his hair. Played. Sung. Mostly with mama outside of the bathroom rather than standing by the opened shower door forcing his head under the water to rinse the soap (the bathroom door was opened but he wanted privacy-you go guy).

These little developmental milestones, signs of comfort, bravery, independence, all signs my baby is growing up.
My baby is nearly 4!

Catching up...(2nd post today)
I know I'm behind.
I'm busy.
You know, mama, teacher, mama, mama, mama.
And my camera charger went awol...
and I wanted a new point and shoot anyway
so I went and bought one.
Anyway...
Glorious Easter fun with the cousins.
Puppy Love.
A sandpit that contains hours of fun.
Our little piece of reality.
A fun little 360 panoramic with my new fuji.

One day of questions mama can't answer without support...
How do skin cells heal themselves?
Remember we have to check google to find out how the earth spins so that we could see the sun and the moon at the same time on Tuesday?
Want to come with me on a journey to the moon? We will travel on my intergalactic space machine. Mine is pretend mama, but can people buy real intergalactic space machines?
Let's have a revolution. What's a revolution?
Tony (the hairdresser) has a reflection in the mirror. How does reflection work?
If I cut my knee it hurts. Why doesn't it hurt when I cut my hair when both parts are human?
When Uncle Matt (a butcher) cuts the animals, do they feel pain?
Yup, a slice of my reality.
This and superhero play and whining and lego and t.v. and laughter and hugs and imaginary stories and lots and lots of love from my super lovebug...
