They come home.
Just when they have you hooked they stop.
Cold.
Posts are sporadic at best.
The best I can say is ...I'm sorry.
But don't hope for an instant improvement.
It isn't coming.
staring at my sweet boy's face
and tickling his ribs to hear him giggle
and marveling at the neck he seems to be growing
and nibbling on that neck
and making him baby food
(if you visit you can have bananas, carrots or sweet potatoes,
all home made
or whatever you bring)
and taking him for long walks in the sunshine
and the rain
and the snow
and teaching him to love doggies gently
and dressing him in 14 outfits that fit yesterday
but are too small today
and feeding him very hot babas
and watching him play with his hair while he drinks
and, lately, cleaning the baba puke off the floor
and my shoulder
and the dog
and anywhere else it lands
and laying with him while he drifts (or thrashes) off to sleep
and then starting all over again the next day
and I'm loving every single solitary moment of it
Here are a few pictures to tide you over until next time...
Can't get enough baby kisses

Loving the dog, gently, sort of
Julia and Danny get married...his first party
It was late...He was jetlaged

Bev It does not matter what or how often you blog, we love them all. And we get you are very very busy staring at your wonderful Son.
Great pictures again.
Oh you made me laugh. THe humiliation of it. A beautiful babe and not enough pictures:)
Once a week is good..

It's hard to find extra blogging time. You suddenly realize how fast time is going by when you have a baby. I'm proud that i've blogged 10 posts this year already. Sad I know. Just post some pictures every now & again & I'll be happy.
i'd be doing the same thing B. Life and loving every minute of it is sorta more important than blogging ;)
just give us photso of your sweet boy to tide us over once in a while.
Oh, I don't know... once a week is pretty good when you have all that loving of your new son to do... I think we can cope. But the pictures are oh so precious. Can't wait to see you later today...

Great pictures! Blog as often or as little as you like - just keep it up so that we get a glimpse at how he is growing!
For my first adoption, blogs weren't even invented (or if they were, not as big a deal as they are now!), so I was happy just to have the laundry done and put away! heh.
Now, with adoption #2, I'm a pro at multitasking, including regular blog posts. I love the journal aspect of it, and would sorely love to have this kind of journal for daughter #1.
Once a week is still quite a lot of work, but it will be such a wonderful thing for your son to have. :)

Once a week is perfectly fine once you're back, unless you're doing extra socializing, I'm afraid we do need to see all of that.
Of course this means I will only have to do twice a month right?
i think you should get a nanny to take care of the little pooper, then you can blog 6 times a day. it is all about us after all....?
Totally understand! Your life has changed drastically in the last month - enjoy it.
I'll look forward to your posts as they arrive.
Wow Bev - he's awesome!! I'm so glad that you're finally home with him -- you're such a lucky mom!!
