Reminiscing

As the next group of families prepares to take off for Hanoi mid week I'm feeling a bit left out. I love Vietnam. I love Hanoi. I can hardly wait to go back. I took some time to go through my photos today and picked out some of my favourites...in no particular order (hmmm, perhaps not all of my favourites afterall...blogger is only letting me post 10 pictures).

Not a fan of the caves at Halong Bay
Canadian Embassy
What-a-ya mean I can go home now...Singapore only took 4 days?
Love that Maple Leaf upholstery.
Beautiful walks around Hoan Kiem Kiem
Temple of Literature...a wonderful afternoon

Ready to head out to the G+R.
Delicious food, vast menu at Hoa Sua Training School
Lots of baby supplies on hand at the Citimart Grocery in the Hanoi Towers
Brother's Cafe...simply don't miss it (opens at 6:30)
Evening sidewalk badminton...go AROUND...as Auntie Kristen soon found out

Maybe we should start a club. People who long for Hanoi:)

I have travelled quite a bit and Hanoi is without question one of my three favorite cities in the world. I would live there in a heartbeat.

Hi there,
First, I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog. It cracks me up... or rather, your little guy cracks me up. He is so adorable.
I am mommy to Aimée. She was adopted last May. Like Benjaminh, Aimée has had numerous eating difficulties. She too had to be carried around all the time at the orphanage. Apparently, she cried non-stop whenever she was laying down. She is presently on prevacid for acid reflux and we attend the feeding clinic at CHEO. She seems to be afraid of swallowing. She does not enjoy eating and often spits out her food. The adoption clinic doctor believes it is because of her reflux and the way she was fed (nipple tip cut off) in the orphanage. They believe she has not developed proper swallowing reflexes. We are working on it. Anyway, I completely understand what it means to worry about your baby's eating or rather NOT eating.
If you come accross any clever tricks, please let me know and I promise to do the same :)
Cheers,
Michelle
