Seriously people. Spring sucked. It was never hot. Not particularly sunny. Nothing to write home about at all. And then on Monday all He77 broke loose and now we are in the depths of a heat wave. From boring to boiling in the blink of an eye.
I just checked the weather network online and tomorrow afternoon it is going to be "real feel" 102 degrees? Sorry, I DON'T DO THREE DIGIT TEMPS! Unless I have the H1N1 virus...and I don't.
This is CANADA people. The great white north. I was just reading the blog of a fellow Canadian who is visiting the Salsa twins in California and the girls were wearing parkas at the beach...PARKAS? With faux fur trim no less. I didn't even know that kids from California owned parkas?
I realize it isn't HoChiMinh City hot. I get that. Really I do. air conditioning...the house and the car
walk the dog early in the morning and later in the evening
eat lots of pureed baby fruit
drink 6 oz rather than 5 oz bottles

Check out that adorable little face!! So cute!!
Now, about the parkas in CA. Yup....it was cold for a couple of hours. Even I who tend to balk at winter wear even in the depths of a CDN winter found myself donning one of Tuba Dad's down filled coat for an hour or so at the beach. The winds were high...and chilly. But then the sun came out and all was good again. Not nearly as hot as here but still comfy.
Like you, who knew kids in CA owned parkas?? :o)
