Lovely

Benjaminh and I spent our afternoon and evening with two sweeties from Hai Duong (and their families of course). What a pleasant way to spend a day! Ben was the big boy, at 1 year and nearly 3 weeks old, Emily will be one next week and wee Macy will be one in about 3 weeks. It was busy for sure...

Take a look at sweet Macy's tongue...I can not get enough of this expression and she offers it often!
Emily is a bit of a daredevil to say the least. Not yet walking she climbs like a pro especially enjoying the climbing experience if it involved objects with wheels...I hope Benjaminh wasn't watching too closely. In this shot it may appear that Benjaminh is making a wee pass at Macy but in fact he is being pushy...literally. Seconds after this shot she fell to the ground and it was certainly not an accident. There was more than one power struggle over the coveted popper walker and it seems that most of the time Macy came out the winner. She simply didn't let go...ever. Good strategy.Another prime example of the one year old power struggle. Both children own a Sophie chew toy (this one is Emily's) and neither child has ever chosen to play with Sophie before this moment...And finally the group shot...yeah right. He is not hugging them or kindly patting their backs. He is preparing to push them from the chair. For this reason it is the only shot I have because I went into action saving small girls from the big Manh. Their moms got better shots and I'll update this bit later...be assured that no one was hurt in the execution of this final photo session (though it was close).
Can't wait to do it again. Both of these sweet girls are very steady on their feet and on the verge of walking. That should add real excitement to the next play date!
