In the calm after the storm

Well we had some very big storms up here yesterday evening. Wicked winds, unbelievable downpours and a power outage that went on and on forever. When the first storm hit we were lucky enough to be out at the farm with a couple of Ben's favourite aunties and uncles having dinner. Here is Ben, in the calm between the storms...Mama probably should have thought this through a bit before playtime began. You know, questions like "Did you bring a change of clothes for the baby?"

Oh well, he had a great time.

Here he looks ready to go but don't be fooled. He is asking to hold hands so that he can stand up and jump on the table a few dozen more times.Later today we are off to the country's capital to meet bloggy friends and travel mates for a few days. The weather promises to be wonderful and I hope to find my camera battery charger so that there can be lots of pictures when we return next weekend.
