16 months in a world where every day is Thanksgiving...

16 Months Old
My sweet baby boy is less and less a baby and more and more a boy.
Walking, running, climbing, laughing, talking and now dancing.

Joyous almost every second of every day
with a contagious belly laugh and an easy smile.

Loving time spent with friends and cousins
climbing on rocks, roots and fallen trees,
walking in the woods and the neighbourhood,

balancing on upside down dog dishes and wheeled toys,
scaling stairs and couches and then screaming for help with the descent.

Following paths through the forest,
usually the path less traveled,

growing molars in a swollen painful and sleep interrupting fashion,
(in this picture I have finally captured the beautiful brown colour of my sweet boy's eyes).

Constantly changing;
A working mommy.
A new babysitter whom he adores.
A new and very deep love for trucks, noisy trucks in particular.
The ability to beg, whine and cry for very specific toys at the toy store (trucks, of course).

New words including truck, bus, cat, dog, nana (for banana), ook (book) and this? as well as that
A desire to read and reread every single book in his collection over and over again with mama...and a developing ability to point at objects in books at mama's request (especially animals).
