Mama's been a bit sickly and a bit cranky and as a result the dude has learned how to say "no" in a gravely losing your voice tone. Oops!He is saying more and more every day and I really have to watch myself more closely now as he is beginning to mimic everything...
Eating is a challenge right now. It is during meals that I hear no the most often. Wants noodles, rice, fruit and broccoli/peas/green beans...only...and all 4 would be in every meal if he was in charge, or a pizza bun, simple whole wheat thin bun with sauce and mozzarella. Ummm, no go dude. How about a bit of protein? I can slip an egg into the rice or noodles and he'll eat it without giving it another thought but egg alone? Never. Cheese? No thanks. Meat? Fish? Not. Lentils or beans cooked by mama rather than the wonderful sitter? Yuck.
Makes me go hmmm...
Here was his platter of choices for a light dinner...
He ended up having broccoli and clementine with wee bite of meat and cheese, the yogurt that he thought was "cream" (ice cream) made him gag and I was sure a big spew was coming. At one point I had to rinse the broccoli, clementine and turkey before he would touch it as it had become contaminated with the dreaded white stuff.
Then he devoured a DQ kids cone an hour later.
Followed by a protein filled bottle before bed...it'll have to do

If my kids wanted noodles, rice, fruit and a variety of green vegetables for every meal I would dance for joy. And you can even sneak an egg in there? Wow. Just... Wow. Vanh has never let anything green pass his lips, and Max can detect and reject the smallest amount of egg in anything.
Hope you'll feel better soon. There's ups and downs with foods. Don't worry.
Mine is nearly four, and she only eats noodles.
She used to eat everything. Now, only noodles.
