Prince Cranky Pants.
Today was a big day...his citizenship card arrived in the mail.
He is entitled to all of the rights and privileges of a Canadian Citizen
(well, except the part where his children, if born overseas,
will not be granted Canadian Citizenship...
but that is a rant for another blog post)
It does appear that The Cranky One is simulatneously cutting 4 teeth,
two uppers which broke through last night and
two that live alongside his existing lower teeth, not yet through.
Life apparently sucks when you are 9 months old and teething.
In memory of better times I thought I'd give you a glimpse of the sweet boy when he slept. He used to sleep and I hope that habit returns some day.

The photos turned out great! I love them all.
This is a kind of inappropriate thought, and I am not asking to find out about you personally, but... well you know, baby brain leaves you with no censoring abilities. I have just completed my EI, pension, and benefits paperwork and I have no idea how teachers can afford to take parental leave, even with a working spouse... let alone spend extra money on portraits... we're trying to figure out how to afford luxuries like food and the mortgage... Is there some secret I am missing?
Sorry about the teething (ours came with 4 each!) but sort of glad to hear we are not the only ones with nicknames... Although "Prince Cranky Pants" is a lot milder than "Monster Demon Baby from H..."
Auntie Kristen would like to remind you while picking who gets which pictures that I am not only an auntie but also his girlfriend and did travel halfway around the world to go get him...hint hint hint.
Although I would do it again in a heartbeat picture or no picture, I love my Baby Boy Ben......I really like the one in the ao dai, but wouldn't be apposed to one of each ;)
XOXO
Congrats on the citizenship card. And the pictures are adorable. Hoping we get to see some of the originals tomorrow night. And hoping Sir Cranky Pants starts sleeping again.
Those are great pictures! I am completely falling in love with Prince Cranky Pants. I soooooooo feel your pain with the teething thing. Damn things. My daughter seems to be constantly popping teeth. I find a combination of Motrin and red wine work best. Motrin for Aimée and red wine for me. Good luck!

The pictures are all so wonderful. I think you should cover all your walls in a kind of mosaic.
4 at once...that's just cruel and unusual punishment for baby and mommy. Love the pics though!
Wow, thanks for your response!
oops, just lost my capitals.
i love michelles blue jeans post too - what would i do without blogs to keep thing in perspective.
are you still looking for bundle bags for p.c.p. to sleep in? what's your mailing address if yes. do you care if they are pinkish?
i think you said he is tongue tied? both our boys are. we are going to wait and see as they may grow out of it or it may not cause any problem
Congratulations on receiving confirmation of your Citizenship. Your Auntie Liz would like a momentum to remember this auspicious occassion. I have an idea - what about a photo! The last one is Auntie Liz's personal fav but any picture of you would do. Did I mention that the last one is my favourite.
Those are great Pics! Love the one of the two of you the best!
Sorry I won't be able to make it to the dinner tonight to meet your little man...hopefully the next dinner.
