Well the jury is in....and other bad news

or out...
or being chosen anyway.

lets start with the first bad news first.
all the whining and snotting and whining and whining?
the short one, not me (though I admit I've been whining alot too)
sinus infection and pink eye
lovely way to start the weekend

and shortly after that appointment the second dose of bad news...

looks like jury duty calls.  me.  first day back after the holidays. jan 4.
the first grade parents will be thrilled I'm sure.

trick is jury duty is 40 km north and ben's sitter is 40 km south.
special.
very special.

so I did what any good person does and called mom and dad.
they will come of course.  short term.
to a town house with their two goldens, making about 270 pounds of dog.
yikes.
their long term solution is to take ben to their place and leave him...
ummm...nfw
mama can NOT handle that.

and i will not put my sweetie with a new caregiver for what might be 2 days
or two weeks
or even 2 months

sooooo....i'm about to call the only acceptable backup i have in the event this whole thing goes longer than a few days...wish me luck.

hopefully bad news does not come in 3's...and the response is positive
