Transitions
Apparently they are hard.
For mama who really doesn't want to wake up at 6 am.
For Ben who isn't fond of waking up in general.
The summer was full of 11 and 12 hour nights for the wee man.
8:30 to 8:30.
Now?
Not so much.
The napless one,
power napping in the car.
Then not asleep until 9 or 10,
worrying about being away from mama.
Up at half past 6.
Yikes.
So Tuesday he was up way too early
(in his opinion),
very unhappy,
begging for just 5 more cuddles.
It was ugly.
Really ugly.
Today the alarm was set for 15 minutes earlier.
15 minutes for 5 more cuddles.
The morning was better,
the power nap was avoided on the ride home
(the napless drive brought to you by a tootsie pop)
but he was oh so very tired tonight.
Throwing an uncharacteristic "demon-like" fit.
Thankfully short.
But snoring at 8:25.
5 more snuggles in tomorrow's wake up plan.
Another tootsie pop waiting in the car.
And then comes Friday.
Transitons.
They are hard.
Things will even out again soon...
And happy boy will be back.

So tough! Our little ones just don't understand why mamma can't just be there for them all the time. Oh how we wish we could!!!
Tootsie pops and snacks on the way home are wonderful! Can change a frown to a smile with a single lick and help to keep it there while momma madly makes dinner.
1 more early morning then the weekend....ahhhh!!!
Bev, the bw shot of you holding Ben with both of you looking up at the camera is spectacular. My second fave is the one of you laughing with Ben on your shoulders. You two are beautiful together.
They're all such great photos, I was trying to pick my favourites but love them all for different reasons so can't choose between them, so I say get them all!!

Love these photos and here is hoping the second week runs with less tootsie pops. I still have to give Lily snacks in the stroller on the walk home. Love the B & Wh pic of you and Ben and the teddy bear and the other one with Ben hugging you and eyes up to the camera. But they are all so very nice.
