Changes...

It is really incredible the changes that a mere 24 hours can bring in your life.

Posing
rays of sun highlight hair
birds song

summer suit
, outdoor play
spring

Posing
shadows bring darkness

winds whistle

turtleneck layers,
stuck indoors
spring...I think

Today was a big day of change for sweet Benjaminh as well with many many firsts:
  • Not one single choke or gag on one single bottle (and only the bedtime bottle was thickened).
  • Ate pears and mixed cereal and chicken stew and a rice mum mum with a great appetite (even put the rice mum mum in his own mouth at one point)
  • Went from his belly to a sitting position
  • Pulled himself up to stand by the foot stool
  • Wore a pair of brand new never worn (but hand me down nonetheless) size 2 1/4 wide walking shoes (and independently stood frighteningly well in them for 15 seconds or more over and over again)
  • Found the hall socket and tried to stick a plastic toy in it (then went shopping to buy more plug covers, so we did end up venturing out in the storm late in the day)
  • Got up on his knees over and over again and actually (but accidentally) moved forward more than once...he does so much better with the crawling thing with bare legs...so the heat was up for a bit this afternoon
So very scary how very quickly he is changing right now.
Very scary.

To think that 3 months ago today I had never kissed his sweet little neck or nibbled on his tiny elfin ear.
K and I were flying around the globe.
Seriously, I'll never be that "3 months ago person" again.

It is amazing how fast things change. My baby turned 11 today and has a girlfriend who gives him hugs. He took her to the movies!!!!! Ben is so cute. I am glad that you can enjoy every minute.

Wow, belly to sitting, knees up, standing, you go Ben!
Watch out for those Mum-Mums - my kids LOVE them, as in take 2 bites of your dinner and start screaming for a cookie love them.

In a way you will be that 3 month ago person again when/if you go back to Vietnam for Benjaminh's sibling. In a strange way, now that our family is complete, I miss the wonder of what the next child will be like. HOWEVER, we have enough wonder to last a lifetime in this house right now. Benjaminh looks so grown up with his big boy haircut.

AHHHHHH I don't check the blog for a couple of days (because lets face it you have been slacking on your posts) and look what I get to see.

I CAN'T believe how much he has grown since Thursday. Like seriously it has been 5 days since I saw him and he now looks like a little boy and is practically walking.

I hope you realize that the whole no gaging and projectile vomiting thing is over now because I sat him down and had a long talk with him and told him to stop doing it. All my influence I tell you.

I love his hair cut, I love the picture of his fat little fingers, I love BENJAMINH.

XOXO

So much in such a short period of time. And while you will never be that 3 month ago person again... I don't think you have any desire to be her either...
