We are on the search for that perfect bike. I've got a month to find it. He wants a big boy bike desperately, reaching out to touch tires as they zoom past...not a particularly healthy habit. Rather than a water table I think a bike is the most sought after item in dude's present day soon to be 2 life...
I'm thinking about this sweet little ride called a strider, developmentally it intrigues me...though I love the wooden mountain bike on the same site...

In other 23rd month news we are off to the ENT Wednesday to have a peek into the swallow and have a hearing test. The speech is coming along and a couple of 2 word phrases are sneaking in...up please sounds like uppy, school bus is coolbutt-a bit tricky depending on where he is pointing and of course he can say teeptea, mama's coffee shop order. Doesn't say Ben. Still waiting and waiting on the $ickkid$ appointment. And the pediatric derm (who may be able to see a few of the biggest bug bites ever if he hurries up and calls with an appointment).
New in the eating world the not so wee one will eat now veggies if I tell him Auntie Carol's horsies eat them. This week corn, carrots, cucumber and chunks of potato were all enthusiastically swallowed in between frightfully realistic neighs. Whatever works. He knows apparently that horsies don't eat chicken or beef or pork for that matter.
Still loving the car (well all cars and trucks and buses and and and) the bath, long walks around the neighbourhood and leisurely swings in the baby swing at the park. Today he tried a big boy swing at my friend's place and he threw his head back and giggled with complete joy. Then he fell on his butt. Got back on and did it all over again. Loves his Uncle Matt, the human amusement ride. Spinning and tumbling, playing in boxes and learning to make realistic crashing noises when playing cars, exercising the woof and feeding the horsies-all Matt specialties.
He is sweetness complete. Loving kisses, wide grins, the after school rush into my arms followed by the tight tight squeeze. 30 minutes or more of bedtime cuddles and snuggles before he gives in each and every night. Tonight I was tired of him beeping my nose when all I wanted him to do was go to sleep. So he kissed my nose. About 40 zillion times. Held my cheeks tight in the dark and laid a tiny wet bit of love on my nose and said "no bee", no beeps mama...just kisses.
Here he is preforming skinnamirink for me.
Thanks baby, I love you too

That is a cool bike!
What a great post with lots of glimpses into your little man's activities! So fun!
A friend of mine had that bike for her daughter and lived it! What a freat starter bike and wonderful for learning about balance. Although...it sounds like he's already trying that out on the swing. It's fun to see what they enjoy doing.
Those pictures are way too cute. I can't wait to see him this summer.
Read your post on the forum and thought I would share with you what I discovered. The white emergency passport cannot be extended. However, Ben should have been issued a permanent passport. Although you did not go through TDH, I assume it is the same for you as this is what happened to both Cindy and I. Neither of us were ever informed that the permanent passport was waiting for someone to pick it up. A permanent passport for Ben is probably now in safe keeping. You will simply have to request it. It took us a week to get it. I don't know foresure of course if this is your situation, but it i definitely worth looking into.
