Guest Entry by Kristen, with Bev watching over my shoulder as she hold sweet Benjaminh who is playing with a package of my popular fruit snacks.
Great news i'm not sick anymore, I guess the jetlag just caught up with me and my body said now you have what you came for and you need to rest. So 9 hours of sleep last night and 7 hours today and now i'm good to go, too bad Benjaminh isn't old enough to go out to the bars with me yet.
While I spent the day in bed Bev and Ben played the who is crankier game, Bev wanting to give me some peace and quiet patiently walked Ben up and down and up and down the stairs and hallways of the hotel. She is going to have calves of steel by the time we leave the hotel.
Once I was mobile and Bev's patience was running thin from cranky Ben I got to hold him for a whole hour, but only once mommy made the cranky boy happy. So I got to play with him when he was all smiles and giggles then once he fusses I hand him back over to mom.
It's turning out pretty sweet on my end, I get to disinfect bottles, make bottles, carry bags around and play with a happy baby. Mom gets to do all the mom work by getting up at all hours of the night with him and changing his diapers and walking the halls when he is cranky. I think I win in this game. I love babies other people's babies as I get to give them back!
Many of you at Bev's shower requested that I start my own blog on travels with Bev, instead I thought I would write on hers. All in all it has been quite a pleasant experience besides that baby brain where she forgets the little things like......MY NAME, good thing she only confuses me with people she really likes, mostly Carol and Kimley. Ben will grow up knowing me as auntie Carol, I mean auntie Kimley, oh whatever your name is....auntie Kristen.
I have been subject to baby brain in the past however it's coming as quite a schock to me seeing as Bev is usually one of the most intelligent people I know. After spending sometime on the computers last night on our way up to the room Bev decides to hand our key into the front desk, a task we must do on our way out of the hotel not on our way up to the room. Then we climb the stairs to the second floor and she turns the wrong way to go to our room, as she does every morning when exiting the room on our way to breakfast.

OMG - what a beautiful baby!
The pictures are just wonderful.
So happy to hear that everyone is feeling better.
Did I say how beautiful that baby is?
Not sure it can be said often enough.

Hey Bev,
I finally got Liz away from your blog so that I could read it. It is great that you and B are finally together. We are all so happy for you! Unless you are photo editing the pictures it looks as if Benjamin is a pretty happy little guy. (I'm sure he is) You look as if you have always been together. We are all anxiously awaiting your return.
lol

Hey Kristen,
Thanks for posting so that Bev can hold and love that adorable baby of hers! I can't get over how adorable he is and the pictures are amazing!
Bev,
All this time I thought that people lost weight in Vietnam because of the heat and the food, and here it turns out that it is from walking cranky babies around for hours at a stretch! I'm sure you're loving every moment of it.
And Kristen, you're right... I think you get the great part of the trip... happy baby time... although I'm sure Bev thinks that she has won... becoming a mommy and all!
Congrats again! I just keep smiling!
Love,
Jules
Oh, and I vote for the picture at the top of this page as a charcoal drawing... it is gorgeous!

Congratulations Bev! He's absolutely gorgeous! That smile is a heart breaker! I can see why his nannies ran to him for every little cry. I hope all of you start feeling better and can get some sleep. I can't wait to meet Ben.
Congratulations, he is so beautiful! How wonderful to know that you are together. I hope you all have sleep and peace and can enjoy beautiful Vietnam together.
